Lightweight Packaging: Compared to metal cans, flexible stand-up pouches made of laminates have less packaging weight per 100g of filled product and less shipping weight (3% of the filled product, as compared with 20% for metal cans).

An extended shelf life of up to one year depending on the product packed is achieved thanks to the material's excellent barrier properties, which keep oxygen and moisture away from the product.
Thanks to the reduced retort time for a slim pouch, in which the necessary temperature is reached faster than in a bulky can or aluminium pouch, vitamins, minerals and the original taste of the meal are preserved more fully.
