Usage: Letrozole(Femara )is a powerful Aromatase Inhibitor that was developed to fight breast cancer. What is Letrazole ?

Letrozole, sold under the brand name Femara, is a prescription drug used to treat breast cancer in its advanced stages, and in women who have finished menopause.

Letrozole belongs to a class of cancer drugs known as aromatase inhibitors, which work by preventing the body from converting a hormone called androgen into estrogen.

This treatment has proven beneficial in cancers whose growth seems to be encouraged by excess estrogen in the body, like certain types of breast cancer.

Dosage of Letrazole 

The good results of using doses ranged from about 0.25mgs per day to 0.5mgs per day .

The maximum dosage that a user would want to use would be 2.5mgs per day. It has been shown in numerous studies that this dosage will eliminate nearly all of the estrogen in the body in nearly all individuals. Any dose that is higher than this would simply be unneeded.

Letrozole comes in tablets of 2.5 milligrams (mg).

How much letrozole your doctor tells you to take may vary, but for cancer, a usual dose is 2.5 mg a day.
